About Me
Hello,

My name is Louise Anderbjörk, and I am an undergraduate student in International Relations and Sustainable Development at the University of St Andrews. I am also a keen photographer that spends most of the free time that I have from my degree in media and photography of different kinds. Originally, I am from Sweden which is where I first found an interest in photography as a side hobby within the Equestrian Sport. I began taking photos at local competitions and was later given opportunities to work with Stockholm Equestrian Federation as a photographer at events and bigger competitions like Stockholm International Horse Show. Alongside my interest in Equine photography, my fascination for macro and landscape photography naturally developed, but it was first at university where I would discover my two primary passions of photojournalism and theatre photography.
Upon entering St Andrews in 2021, I joined one of the university's biggest student publications, The Saint Newspaper, as a photographer and a year later took on the role as its Photography Editor. Simultaneously, I was offered a place in the media company Lightbox, and the two experiences together led to me covering several major events each semester, with the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2022 being one of my personal highlights so far. In March 2022, I was first introduced to theatre photography, and since then I simply have not been able to stop. It has grown into a major passion, and has taken me to cover over 20 productions as well as shows at the Edinburgh Fringe. Driven by this growing passion for photography, I recently founded and launched PRISMA Photography Magazine, and am happy to also run a photography fundraiser in partnership with the charity Make a Smile UK. For the remaining years at St Andrews, I look forward to building onto my experiences in photography and journalism, to later hopefully pursue them both as full-time professions after my degree.

Testimonials

When it came to hiring a photographer for my graduation day, Louise was my first and only choice. Not only does she produce high-quality professional photos, she is also adept at anticipating and capturing special moments, as well as using her creative eye to suggest locations and poses to bring out the best in her subject. Louise delivered on my requests, and then some. This meant that the photos I received went well beyond what one might expect from a standard photography ‘package’ – she captured the exact moments I wanted to remember forever, and ensured that I felt comfortable and confident throughout the entire process. There is no doubt that I will recommend Louise to friends, and that I will treasure her photos for years to come.

Louise is a remarkable photographer. Easy to work with, exceptional shots and professional from start to finish. We would work with her again in a heartbeat. Highly highly recommend.

Performer & Producer
When planning an event, I know that the one thing I will never have to stress about is managing a photographer, because Louise is the epitome of professional. I have had the pleasure of working with her on several large speaker events, and each time she has gone above and beyond to do her job. She always shows up early, and acts not just professionally, but with kindness. There is a reason that Louise is always the first person I recommend to anyone who needs a photographer to capture the joy and excitement of their event, and that is because she goes beyond her role to ensure that those beautiful moments you’ve worked so hard for are captured flawlessly.
